Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Dr. Renée Shankar

Dr. Renée Shankar believes finding one’s true health is a profoundly unique process that is supported by multiple modalities and the inner wisdom of each individual. Renée facilitates healing by reflecting her patient’s values which can be a powerful guide toward discovering what is best for them. Renée knows this approach is integral in helping people thrive.

Using a blend of Acupuncture, bodywork, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, herbal formulas, and relaxation techniques, Renée Shankar also works to support a state of healing and allostasis. Allostasis is defined as maintaining stability through change and is a core philosophy of East Asian Medicine. Change is the one true constant in life, and Renée believes supporting the body’s innate ability to remain stable through change is essential to prevention.

Renée holds a doctorate in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine with a focus on Integrative Medicine. Currently, Renée has completed mentorship programs led by renowned Doctors Debra Betts, Claudia Citkovitz and Laura Erlich to provide Acupuncture for patients in the perinatal period. She is thrilled to bring this collective wisdom to A Woman’s Time.

When she is not practicing in the clinic Renée soaks up quality time with her family and friends, hiking, trying out new recipes, and exploring new parts of the Northwest. She is a proud mama and loves the simple moments of connection and wonderment her daughter embodies daily.
