Dr. Jennifer Johnson is a graduate of Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, where she earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a second-year resident at A Woman’s Time and has completed numerous specialty clinical rotations in women’s health, internal medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, and more. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Johnson received Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Physiology at the University of Washington, researched the role of genetic mutations in disease, and worked as a piano teacher. At Bastyr University, she participated in a pilot project bringing naturopathic medicine to communities in Uganda and did a month-long externship in China researching the use of Chinese herbs in women’s health.
Dr. Johnson’s approach to care blends Eastern and Western perspectives for a comprehensive individualized diagnosis and treatment plan. Treatments include acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutrition, nutrient supplementation, lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, gentle physical medicine techniques such as biofeedback and craniosacral therapy, and conventional medications when needed. Dr. Johnson’s philosophy is to establish strong foundational health and to identify and address the underlying imbalances that perpetuate disease. Special areas of interest include menstrual complaints, fertility, menopause transition, endocrine dysfunction, gastrointestinal complaints, and genomic medicine.
Dr. Johnson is currently accepting patients for acupuncture and naturopathic medicine.
